Offering therapy in English and Farsi
I am a dedicated psychotherapist driven by personal experiences navigating through various difficulties, and struggling to find the right fit without enduring long waiting lists. This journey has inspired my commitment to helping others overcome their challenges and access timely, effective support. Grounded in a person-centered and collaborative approach, I emphasize the importance of a therapeutic alliance where both therapist and client work together.
My modalities draw from a rich tapestry of evidence-based therapies, allowing for a tailored and comprehensive approach to addressing various mental health concerns. I specialize in trauma, depression, anxiety, self-esteem issues, relationship challenges, and life transitions. Within a supportive environment, I empower my clients, firmly believing in their potential for healing and growth. I seamlessly integrate techniques from evidence-based therapies, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, EMDR for individuals, and the Gottman Method and Emotion Focused Therapy for Couples.
My educational journey includes a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology (MACP) from Yorkville University. I have also earned certificates in Gottman Level 1 and 2, as well as completed Basic Training in EMDR. These credentials, coupled with my hands-on experience, form the foundation of my commitment to assisting clients in leading fulfilling lives and fostering positive change and well-being. Additionally, I am a Registered Psychotherapist Qualifying (#13362) from the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario and hold a Professional Membership with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association.
