Our Story

Grounded Psychology was founded in 2021 by Heather Anderson, Clinical Psychologist, after 10 years of working across community, institutional, and private practice settings. With a vision of creating thoughtful, accessible, and grounded mental health care, the clinic was built to meet clients where they are, both virtually and in Bells Corners. To enable our therapists to support a wider range of Ottawa’s population, we opened our availability in Gloucester in December 2026.

Since opening, Grounded Psychology has grown into a diverse team of psychologists, psychotherapists, and social workers who support children, teens, adults, couples, and families. We’re proud to offer a wide range of therapeutic approaches and to provide psychological and psychoeducational assessments as part of our services.

At our core, Grounded Psychology is about compassionate, evidence-informed care and creating a space where clients feel supported, understood, and empowered to grow.
